Gunther has won his first championship on the WWE main roster.
On Friday Night Smackdown, we saw a match between defending champion Ricochet and Gunther. This match was much anticipated by fans and despite not going as long as some hoped, the match was a fun affair. Gunther would end up winning the match, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.
Time will tell how this reign will go for The Ring General as he had an incredible NXT UK Title reign and with Gunther impressing the right people, this could be the beginning of a legendary run as Intercontinental Champion.
