Tony Khan Breaks Down Ring Psychology Behind AEW Dynamite Main Event
A promising sign from the head booker of AEW.
AEW president Tony Khan has had to learn on the job quite a bit with regards to running a pro wrestling promotion. While the company is only 3 years old, the company continues to grow exponentially. Khan has proven that he is a more than capable booker, but does have his moments where he makes mistakes. This is not one of those times.
On AEW Dynamite this week, Kyle O’Reilly and Jon Moxley battled in the main event with the winner going onto Forbidden Door to challenge for the Interim AEW World Title while CM Punk is recuperating from injury. Tony took to Twitter on Thursday and broke down some of the in ring psychology behind a spot in the match:
I loved @JonMoxley vs @KORcombat hard-hitting fight, both fighters’ high wrestling IQs were crucial: Mox used the gotch piledriver effectively before, when he tried it again, Kyle reversed to a submission. When Mox escaped, he used a classic piledriver to avoid that same reversal.

Clearly, Tony is listening to the experts in the back breaking down the intricacies. At the end of the day Khan is just doing what he should as the promoter.
