CM Punk Calls His AEW Run Nothing Short Of A Miracle
CM Punk is currently on the shelf with an injury but he is more than motivated to return to the ring when he recovers. Punk announced on last week’s Rampage that he would require surgery for a broken bone in his leg. He underwent successful broken foot surgery during the week and the doctors were happy with the results.
While speaking in an interview with the Associated Press, CM Punk stated that his AEW run so far has been nothing short of a miracle.
They’ve rekindled something inside of me that I thought honestly was long dead. I used to love professional wrestling and I fell out of love with it. I think when you love something so much you can hold on to it so tight it can ruin that thing for you. But there’s almost no reason to dwell on that anymore.
I like the youthful enthusiasm that everybody has backstage and it has rekindled my love for it. So these past nine months has been nothing short of kind of like a miracle. I’m enjoying every step of the way,”

Punk has wrestled several matches with promising careers in AEW. Punk will be on the shelf for some time during the surgery and an AEW interim champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door.
