Jim Ross has his say on AEW World Champion CM Punk’s injury.
Recently, we saw CM Punk announce that he needed surgery and would be taking time off to rehab from the injury. He has not vacated the AEW World Title however but there will be an interim champion crowned at Forbidden Door later this month.
While speaking on his podcast “Grilling JR”, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross talked about CM Punk’s injury. Ross stated that he believes CM Punk will be fired and motivated when he returns from injury.
“It is very unfortunate. If anybody can work their way through it, it’ll be Phil Brooks, AKA CM Punk, no doubt. So I don’t have any qualms or any hesitation regarding, you know, how CM Punk’s going to return. He’ll return healthy, and fired up, and motivated.”

Jim Ross certainly believed Punk’s promo from AEW Rampage a short time ago. Punk is currently rehabbing from his injury that was declared a successful procedure by the doctors.
