Ronda Rousey Said She Tried To Keep Her Shoulder Down At WrestleMania 35
Ronda Rousey began her first WWE run at WrestleMania 34 and a few months later she was RAW Women’s Champion. She would hold the title until WrestleMania 35 where she would lose the title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat main event.
At the end of the match, it was pointed out that when Becky pinned Ronda, Ronda’s shoulder wasn’t fully down. Now, Ronda has commented on that moment with Kurt Angle. On the latest episode of his podcast, Ronda says she was actually trying hard to keep her shoulders down.
“I didn’t think my shoulder was down,” Ronda began. “I was trying to flatten out to put my shoulder more down. So like that’s what was happening. I thought it was just the very top of my shoulder. So I was trying to shimmy down. So the actual backs of my shoulders were down and I didn’t know that he had already started counting. So or that my shoulder came up during the shimmy. So I was trying to help, but it ended up being awesome because now I have a gripe to revisit.”
