Drew McIntyre Looks Back At Career On Anniversary Of His WWE Release

One of the biggest stars in WWE wasn’t initially treated serious.

When Drew McIntyre debuted in the WWE in the late 2000’s, it was clear he had a lot of talent. Being called the chosen one by Vince McMahon lead to a steady up climb in success but there was no world title match for Drew and eventually he was released from the company in 2014. He would return to the company in 2017 and since then has been one of WWE’s top stars.

McIntyre took to Twitter and looked back on his pro wrestling journey on the anniversary of his WWE release 8 years ago.

McIntyre clearly loves his transition to being a main eventer in the promotion. He will likely go down in the Hall Of Fame for his career but it is unclear how successful he will be by the time his career ends. For now, McIntyre has his sights set on the WWE Universal Championship.
