WWE Moved A Lot Of Tickets After John Cena Return Announcement

Can’t deny Cena’s drawing power.

If you didn’t know, June is John Cena month in the WWE to celebrate his twenty year anniversary in the company. Cena debuted in 2002, confronting WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle in now iconic segment. Earlier this month, WWE announced that Cena will return to RAW at the end of the month to celebrate his anniversary.

Now, it appears that announcement has paid off for the WWE as they have been selling a lot more tickets since. WrestleTix noted on Patreon that WWE only has 446 tickets left for their Laredo Texas show. That number was helped out dramatically by John Cena’s announced return, because they’ve moved over 1,300 tickets in the past 6 days since the announcement.

John Cena obviously remains an all time level draw for the WWE, even if he is no longer a full time competitor for the company. It is expected Cena will face Austin Theory at SummerSlam next month for the US Title.
