AEW Dynamite kicked off with a hair vs hair match between Chris Jericho and Ortiz. During the closing moments of the match, “Fuego Del Sol” attacked Ortiz with Jericho’s signature baseball bat, Floyd. This costed Ortiz the match, allowing Jericho to pick up the win. Post-Match saw Ortiz have to shave his head, as well as Jericho, Hager and “Fuego” celebrating on the ramp. Fuego’s mask was then pulled off to reveal it was Sammy Guevara all along.
Sammy Guevara was previously in the Inner Circle with the likes of Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Santana & Ortiz. Now, Sammy has seemingly reunited with Chris Jericho as the leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society (J.A.S).
