Andrade Claims He Was Supposed To Face Will Ospreay At Forbidden Door Before It Was Stopped

Andrade El Idolo does not have a match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV, and it seems he may not even be on the show. Andrade sat down with Hugo of Lucha Libre Online for a interview, which you can see here. The interview is in Spanish, but Twitter user LuchaBlog had translations. According to Andrade, he was supposed to face Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door and even head to Japan to set it up, but it was stopped:

It is unclear who stopped Andrade, but he seems to allude it was AAA. Andrade went on to also claims that he was booked, then cancelled off of TripleMania in Tijuana.

Andrade also spoke about his frustrations with AAA, seemingly being not used and blocked from working with NJPW.

Andrade's ultimately upset because he can't work with NJPW because he's working AAA, but AAA is actually not booking him when they said he would so he's just not working

Hopefully, this all gets sorted out and we can see Andrade mix it up with NJPW talent in the future. Unlikely, but hopefully, Andrade is allowed to appear on Forbidden Door.
