Vince McMahon Will Remain Part Of The WWE Creative Process Despite Investigation

It looks like creative changes will not be coming any time soon.

Vince McMahon and the WWE announced early on Friday morning that he would be stepping away from his responsibilities as CEO and Chairman of the WWE, in his absence, his daughter Stephanie has been appointed to both roles in the interim. Vince is currently being investigated regarding a three million dollar hush money settlement with a paralegal he had a sexual relationship with.

Also included in the announcement was that Vince would remain part of the creative process during the investigation and it was later announced on Friday that Vince would be opening SmackDown, in character, following him tearing up the script on Thursday evening. John Pollock of WrestlePOST shared a tweet showing the importance of this fact:

– There was no mention of any changes regarding John Laurinaitis' duties after being named in the WSJ report
– Vince McMahon will maintain his duties overseeing the creative direction & will be appearing on television tonight

Time will tell how this will turn out for Vince or how long he will remain involved in the creative process but Vince McMahon is expected to go down fighting.
