Mick Foley is a legend in professional wrestling. Wether he was Mick Foley, Mankind, Dude Love or Cactus Jack, he was beloved by many fans.
Mick Foley recently spoke about how he found out Vince wasn’t a big fan of Cactus Jack on “Foley is Pod” which is why he didn’t use the character right away.
I did find out Vince wasn’t a big fan. I lost [some sleep over that]… I had to convince myself that I belonged there, for the life of me, I still didn’t see why I wasn’t Cactus Jack

Mick also spoke about his Mankind character and how he didn’t like the mask.
I hated the mask, I was hoping what we did was strong enough that I could Segway into a Cactus Jack run, but I realized what we had done was pretty substantial.

Mick Foley ended up being a World Champion, multi-time tag team champion and held several other titles in his career under his iconic gimmicks, and went into the Hall Of Fame. So, it’s safe to say everything worked out in the end, but it’s wild to think Vince didn’t like Cactus Jack and there could’ve been a possibility of never seeing Cactus in WWE.
