What a surprise.
Booker T has been under a microscope a lot in the last few weeks, even more than usual due to his comments regarding MJF and more recently, Adam Cole. Booker has been called out repeatedly for being a WWE shill by fans, with a lot of opinions siding against praising AEW.
It was reported earlier this week that Sasha Banks had been granted her WWE release and Booker T has had his say on the matter. Many believe she might go to AEW. While speaking on his Hall of Fame show, Booker T stated that AEW would not be the best place for Sasha Banks.
“As far as Tony Khan making that phone call quick [to sign Banks], but I don’t know if that’s the place for Sasha Banks. I am really not sure if AEW is the place for Sasha Banks.”
“The reason I say that, [sic] that AEW may not be the place for Sasha – let me just put a bow on that. After Sasha goes and works Britt Baker, where does she go from there? I’m not throwing any shade on Thunder Rose, Nyla Rose, or any of those other girls.”

Time will tell if Sasha Banks will heed Booker’s warning, but if her release has been granted, Banks has a myriad of options of where she goes next.
