One half of the brother tag team Top Flight will not be back until later this year.
Earlier this year, just a short time into his return run to AEW, Darius Martin was in a car accident which resulted in several injuries that would keep him out of action for some time. There was no clear timetable for his return due to no one knowing the extent of his injuries suffered in the accident.
Fightful Select now has provided an update:
In an update on Darius Martin, an AEW source told Fightful “hopefully” they could get him back by the end of 2022, but that’s hardly a guarantee.

Darius’ brother Dante Martin is once again left in a singles run in the meantime until Darius’ returns to the ring. He is currently teaming with Matt Sydal also. Time will tell when Darius will return to the ring with the injuries he suffered, but hopefully the injuries will not keep him out till 2023.
