It looks like Kenny Omega will be at the show, just not physically.
Currently, Kenny Omega is sitting on the sidelines rehabbing multiple injuries that required surgery. We have not seen Omega since Hangman Page defeated him for the AEW World Title and while he has kept himself busy, many have been anticipating his return. In particular, fans have been speculating Omega may be the opponent for Jay White’s IWGP Heavyweight championship at Forbidden Door.
Kenny posted a tweet this week that suggested he will not be at Forbidden Door, but he would be there in spirit:
Of course, this could just be bait and Kenny may be ready to return for the PPV. If he were to return to challenge White, it would be one of the craziest returns in pro wrestling history. Time will tell if Kenny will be fit to wrestle by this Sunday but for now, it appears he will only be there in spirit.
