Triple H Speaks At WWE Performance Center Today, States That “He’s Back”
Triple H, aside from being a legend in the ring, was the founder and executive producer of NXT. Triple H helped build many talents you’ve seen today move from NXT to the main roster of Raw & SmackDown. Sadly, things started to change when Triple H had health troubles that resulted in a cardiac episode.
This caused things in NXT to change majorly when the NXT brand was now re-named to NXT 2.0, changing the entire presentation both in and out of the ring. Vince McMahon himself, alongside Bruce Prichard, began to take over NXT 2.0. Triple H stepped away to focus on his health and getting back as close to 100% as possible. This has caused many fans to have a love-hate relationship with the new NXT 2.0, with some loving the iconic black and gold NXT, while some enjoy the new changes.
Triple H build one of the most entertaining top wrestling brands with his visions of NXT black and gold. The black and gold brand gave us the likes of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, KUSHIDA, Andrade, Malakai Black & Johnny Gargano who have all since left WWE since the 2.0 change. Now, the colorful paint splattered brand feels very far off from what a Triple H originally envisioned. Though the concept is still the same, se the performance center to build new talent, put them on NXT & then ship them off to the main roster, it just doesn’t have the same gritty, hardcore feel that NXT Black & Gold once had. But, is it possible another change is soon to come?
News first broke from John Pollock of Post Wrestling that after months of hiatus, the King of Kings is back. According to John, Triple H spoke at the WWE performance center today and stated that he is “back”.
It’s unclear what being “back” means, but it’s highly unliking that he’s alluding to an in-ring return. It’s only fair to assume this return means as apart of the NXT brand in some capacity.
With Vince McMahon currently in the heap of controversy, and Bruce Prichard taking over as interim head of talent relations, could this mean Triple H is taking back his place as executive producer in NXT? As of now, that remains to be seen. But the possibility of Triple H taking over NXT 2.0 is looking very high right now. We will keep you updated as more news comes out about this story.
