It looks like many within the company are just as unsure as fans are regarding Vince McMahon’s investigation.
Last week, it was learned that Vince McMahon was under investigation by the WWE board regarding a three million dollar payoff. Vince has appeared on both SmackDown and RAW since the news broke, also stepping down as CEO and Chairman of the company due to the news and appointing his daughter Stephanie to be the interim CEO and Chairwoman.
According to PW Insider’s Mike Johnson, there is currently a “lot of silence” backstage as everyone is waiting to see if McMahon stepping down as CEO will end up hurting WWE.
There is a lot of silence among employees as they are all waiting to see how bad this situation can get… There’s been a real concern among some to keep their heads down and not get caught up in the mess, especially since they don’t know what executives will end up with larger amounts of power when the dust settles

Of course, we are not privy to the inner workings of the investigation and it is imagined the talent is in the same boat. Time will tell how the investigation will go, but for now WWE talent will remain on the fence and keep their nose’s down.
