Well it looks like Athena is once again deciding to go after the WWE.
Since her release from the WWE, Athena has been more than vocal about how she feels about her run in the company. Similarly to Toni Storm, Athena has commented on how it effected her mental health run and also revealed secret meetings where talent were urged to dress “more sexily”. Since debuting in AEW, Athena has been on the war path and looks to challenge Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship at some point in the future.
While speaking with NBC “Sports Boston.” Athena talked about her time in WWE. Athena stated that WWE would rip everyone a new one if they did not attain perfection.
“I think the best way to describe it is I think the former place, if you will, demanded perfection. It didn’t matter what curveballs were being thrown at you, there was just very stoic energy of, ‘Alright, this is what we expect out of you. Do it.’ And if you don’t do it, you get ripped a new one. Sometimes it’s like, ‘Okay, cool, we understand problems happen.’ But there was never that high energy. Hunter was the exception to that, I will say that.”
