Cerrone-Miller Rematch Set for UFC 276
Donald Cerrone won’t be getting a fight with Joe Lauzon, he will however be getting the opportunity to fight a former opponent in Jim Miller.
UFC officials confirmed with Brett Okamoto of ESPN about the bout, it’ll be held at Welterweight on short notice due to Miller’s opponent Bobby Green pulling out to due undisclosed reasons.
The last encounter between Cerrone and Miller ended with the Cowboy picking up a 2nd round TKO over Miller back in 2014. This would lead to Cerrone stacking an 8-fight win streak prior to fighting then-Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos which he lost in the 1st round in 2015 by way of TKO.
Miller’s been on a 2-fight win streak, his last win over Nikolas Motta tied him with Cerrone for the most wins in UFC history with twenty-three (23) who he will now look to surpass when the two meet at UFC 276 on July 2nd.
