Special Committee Of WWE Board Of Directors Appointed Stephanie McMahon To Interim CEO

It looks like Vince had no say in Stephanie becoming the interim CEO as many claimed.

Last week, WWE was turned upside down with the announcement of Vince McMahon’s investigation regarding misconduct. It was confirmed that McMahon would step down from his role as CEO and Chairman of the company and Stephanie McMahon was appointed in the interim for both roles.

Now, Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter how Stephanie’s appointment was handled, revealing Vince had no say.

Stephanie McMahon being put in WWE power was said to be based on the decision of a Special committee, 8 members of the Board that were not the McMahons, Nick Khan or Triple H It was Vince McMahon’s decision to leave but the board’s decision to put Stephanie in his place.

Many believed that Vince McMahon had a key role in Stephanie being appointed interim CEO, but it appears that this was not the case. Time will tell how long Stephanie will be interim CEO, but for now she is the leader of the WWE.
