FTR and CM punk have had an entertaining relationship over the last few months on AEW tv. Aligning on TV and teaming together, unfortunately Punk would break his foot and would need surgery to repair the damage. Now, FTR have spoke about how much Punk has helped the pair.
While speaking with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler talked about their relationship with CM Punk. Harwood made it clear he’ll forever be indebted to CM Punk for all the help he did backstage in AEW.
“When he got here, we never had any prior experience with him, so it was a clean slate and for us he’s been nothing but great. He’s been a mentor to us. Whatever we need, he’s been there for it. I think part of our rise right now is linked to his arrival here. He’d been a guy who beat the drum for us any chance he got, and I think that holds a lot of weight,” Wheeler said.
In a time where it’s hard to find people who are absolutely enamoured with wrestling, the three of us are, and then it morphed into the love of Bret Hart. Then it morphed into the love of each other. Behind the scenes, I’ll be forever indebted to him for how he helped with cope with (my) anxieties, too,” Harwood said.

Punk is currently at home rehabbing his injury for his return to the ring. He remains the AEW World Champion, with an interim title being made while he is recuperating. Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jon Moxley will battle for the interim gold at Forbidden Door.
