Bully Ray Criticizes Claudio Castagnoli’s WWE Run For Not Being Entertaining Enough
Some people aren’t all fans of the Swiss Superman.
Claudio Catagnoli (FKA Cesaro) debuted for AEW this past weekend, defeating Zack Sabre Jr. Following this, Claudio would be the one to make the decisive fall in the Blood And Guts match from this week’s AEW Dynamite.
While speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray talked about Castagnoli’s time in WWE. He criticized Claudio for not having the entertainment factor in the company.
”The reason why Cesaro never got to that next level in the WWE is he was too much of a pro wrestler, not enough of a sports entertainer. He didn’t have that entertainment factor that Vince was looking for. Now, once they put him with Sheamus. Sheamus had enough sports entertainer in him that Cesaro could play off of them, and they gelled very well together.”

Of course, Claudio got much love in the WWE for not just his in ring work. Towards the end of his WWE tenure in particular, he began to be seen as much more than just a good pro wrestler as Bully claims. However, it was too little to late for Claudio, who left the company earlier this year following his contract expiring.
