Tony Khan has a different place in mind for Forbidden Door 2.
The first AEW x NJPW event, Forbidden Door, was a resounding success this past weekend. Despite an injury bug that effected the card significantly, the matches on the PPV delivered. Since the event, many have spoke about the possibility of another Forbidden Door, with the NJPW president suggesting that the next event be held in Japan.
During the AEW Rampage taping last night, TonyKhan told the crowd at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, he wants to bring Forbidden Door 2 to Detroit. The inaugural Forbidden Door PPV event took place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Time will tell if this will happen, but for now, Tony Khan has made the Detroit fans rabid with anticipation. Eddie Kingston said earlier this week that Detroit was like home for him.
