Kurt Angle Says Roman Reigns Needs New Opponents, Not Brock Lesnar
The Hall Of Famer has his say on one of the biggest rivalries in pro wrestling.
A few short weeks ago, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE programming following Roman Reigns’ first successful title defense vs Riddle. That match was met with great praise from fans, who wanted to see more fresh matchups for Reigns going forward. However, Lesnar’s return lead to him being booked to face Roman at SummerSlam in a last man standing match.
Kurt Angle was in a conversation with NBC Sports, where he answered some questions about WWE. One question in particular was asked regarding Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, which Angle discussed.
Roman Reigns, he needs to wrestle some new talent, some NXT guys, upcoming talent that are very talented, that can match his skill. I have nothing against Brock Lesnar coming back and wrestling Roman Reigns again but it’s already been done, and you don’t want to keep doing that over and over again. You have to make new talent.

Time will tell if WWE will heed Angle’s words. Many fans share the sentiment that WWE do not need to keep an infinite loop of Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar matches. Who would you like to see Reigns face instead of Lesnar? Let us know in the comment section and on our social media pages.
