William Regal heaps praise onto the newest member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
Claudio Castagnoli debuted for AEW at Forbidden Door and has rode a wave of momentum since that included getting the winning fall during the Blood And Guts match last week. During the Blood And Guts match, Regal would reference the two wrestling Regal’s final match in the ring.
Now, Regal has discussed Claudio at length on his Gentleman Villian podcast:
“Absolutely wonderful,” Regal said. “Incredible to have him, not only a part of AEW, but he’s one of my favorite people. I think he’s one of the great professionals of the world … We could do a whole podcast on my admiration for Claudio, and he’s a pro through and through, he’s incredible. Everything about him, the way he carries himself, what he’s gone through, how he’s got to this point in his life just getting to America … I really do think he’s quite possibly, when I say the best professional, professional around today, and maybe as much as anybody, ever.”

Regal clearly feels Claudio may be one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and with his last two performances in an AEW ring, he very well may be. Time will tell how his AEW run will continue.
