Former GLORY Welterweight Champion Cédric Doumbé Is Set on Signing UFC Contract If Successful at MMAGP
The former GLORY Kickboxing Welterweight Champion turned MMA fighter is planning something big this weekend.
Cédric Doumbé, the former two time champion in GLORY Kickboxing is set to be UFC bound if his fight vs. late replacement Idriss M’Roivili ends with Doumbé getting his hand raised.
During a program that will be broadcast this Tuesday on Sports in France, the Franco-Cameroonian delivered this message.
“ The goal is for me to sign the contract with the UFC to perform in September.
Doumbé defended the GLORY Kickboxing Welterweight championship four times in two reigns. He amassed a record of 75-7, 45 finishes and only one draw.
The most recent GLORY Kickboxing star to sign with the UFC was Alex Pereira, he is a former GLORY Middleweight champion who is now the #4 ranked Middleweight in the UFC with plans to fight Israel Adesanya, who is the current UFC Middleweight champion. But also a former GLORY fighter that suffered two losses to Pereira for the championship that Adesanya is looking to avenge if the two compete soon.
