Netflix Pulls Vince McMahon’s Documentary

Vince McMahon will no longer be getting a Netflix documentary.

Netflix was working on a multi-part documentary which was executive produced by WWE and Bill Simmons. It was reportedly set to be one of Netflix’s highest budgeted documentaries, now, that’s off the table. Freelance media personnel Denise Salcedo first reported the news, saying that the documentary has been pulled and is off the programming sheet. However, Netflix would not confirm how deep into production they were with the piece. Denise reported this via Twitter, which you can see below.

Sources tell me that the Vince McMahon Netflix documentary has been pulled & is off the programming spreadsheet at Netflix. A source at Netflix confirmed it no longer being listed on their spreadsheet, another source at Netflix said “that shit’s out of here.” (1/2)

Another source indicated that the project was already “deep” in post-production & that several talent interviews had been done months ago & that millions were spent. I spoke to one of the producers on the project, however they declined to confirm nor deny this story to me. (2/2)

With more news coming out about Vince McMahon, it’s not hard to see why Netflix would not want his name attached to their service.
