Pat McAfee And Happy Corbin Lived Together In 2009 While Both Signed To Indianapolis Colts

This story seems to go a lot deeper than just what we’ve seen on WWE TV lately.

Currently, Pat McAfee is celebrating a multi year contract extension with the WWE. However, later this month he is set to face Happy Corbin at SummerSlam in a singles match. At Money In The Bank last weekend, Corbin attacked McAfee from behind, an attack McAfee addressed on his podcast.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Pat McAfee and Happy Corbin were roommates in 2009 for the Indianapolis Colts.

It hasn’t been brought up in the program yet although it did surface this past week with rookie photos of both, but the two were actually friends and roommates when both were rookies in 2009 for the Indianapolis Colts. A few years back McAfee noted that Corbin (Tom Pestock) lived in his house for the few months he was in Colts camp and they did a lot of stuff off the field together.

Pestock was a Division II All-MIAA Conference player who went undrafted and was cut twice in camp and never made the regular season roster. McAfee was a seventh round draft choice who made the team and ended up as an All-Pro punter in 2014 and was one of the best punters in the league most of his career.

Time will tell if the WWE will decide to use this news to further the storyline between Corbin and McAfee, but McAfee has proven repeatedly he is more than capable in the ring, so the match itself should be a fun one.
