UFC Vegas 58 is headlined by Rafael Dos Anjos vs Rafael Fiziev, which is sure to be a banger of a main event. But, we’re gonna take a look at three fights you may not be looking at, but should be watching out for. Without waiting anymore, here’s three fights to look out for on UFC Vegas 58.
Tresean Gore vs. Cody Brundage
In the battle of the UFC newcomers, Tresean Gore was a contestant on 2021 Ultimate Fighter show, where he did pick up two wins. Gore is 3-1 in his pro-MMA career and is coming off of a loss in his first official UFC bout back in February of this year. Tresean Gore is looking to pick up his first victory under the UFC banner, but it won’t come easy as Cody Brundage is standing in his way. Cody is 7-2 in his MMA career and was formerly on Dana White’s Contender Series where he lost. Cody went on to fight in his first official UFC fight in September of 2021, where he lost. But, he bounced back with a win in his second UFC appearance in March of this year, where he got a round one submission victory. Both of these fighters are looking to jumpstart their UFC careers and this is one you’re not going to want to miss. Keep an eye out for this prelim fight.
Aiemann Zahabi vs. Ricky Turcios
Aieamann has been in UFC since 2017. Yet, the losses on his 8-2 record both came inside of the UFC. He won his debut fight in 2017, but went on to lose two in a row before picking up another win in February of 2021. Now, he is back to try to turn that previous win into a winning streak. The issue here is, he has a young, scrappy newcomer in Ricky Turcios standing across the octagon from him. Ricky is 11-2 in his MMA career, but 1-0 in the UFC after picking up his official UFC debut win in August of last year. Just a month shy of being out a whole year, Ricky is also looking to get that winning streak rolling. Which fighter will be on a two fight win streak after Saturday? Keep your eyes locked on this prelims headliner.
Garrett Armfield vs. David Onama
Garrett Armfield will be making his UFC debut this Saturday night. He is 8-2 in his MMA career and is currently riding a three fight win streak. Garrett is coming off of a round one knockout win from back in May in the local FAC promotion. But, his debut couldn’t be more of a test as he steps into the cage with David Onama, who is 9-1 in his UFC career. Most recently, David won back in February of this year with a first round knockout. Both of these fighters are coming off of first round KO’s, David is looking to continue his winning ways inside of the UFC, and Garrett is looking to pick up a debut victory. Don’t blink, we could see another round one knockout in this firework of a fight on the UFC Vegas 58 prelims. Look out for this one!
UFC Vegas 58 prelims start at 6PM est on ESPN and ESPN+ with the main card starting at 9pm. You do not want to miss the action of this fight night. Michael Johnson makes a two month turn around, Armen Petrosyan looks to continue his UFC streak, the Rafael clash in the main event, plus all three fights listed above, you don’t want to miss this.
