Thunder Rosa made her way to Japan for TJPW today.
TJPW’s Summer Sun Princess 2022 event saw AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa take on Miyu Yamashita in a non-title match. Previously, to build up the match, Thunder Rosa cut a promo saying this match would be non-title, but, if Miyu could defeat her, Thunder would give her a AEW Women’s Title match on American soil in AEW. The match took place today and after a great battle which saw the best of both competitors, Miyu Yamashita picked up the win. Now, Thunder Rosa has to stick to her word and give Yamashita a shot at the AEW Women’s Championship.
As of now, it’s not set on when this championship match could possibly take place, but we do know it’ll be in America on AEW programming. We will keep you updated on any further announcements regarding the match.
