Scott Steiner Warned Dixie Carter That Hulk Hogan Would Run TNA Out Of Business
Scott Steiner had a feeling Hulk Hogan would ruin TNA, and he tried to let Dixie know.
Scott Steiner, the former WWE/WCW star made his debut for TNA in 2006. Fans remember Scott in TNA for some hilarious classic moments like his “Steiner Math” promo or his “Fat Ass” promo. But, Steiner only lasted two years with the company and now we may know the reason why. In the latest episode of his “My World” podcast, Jeff Jarrett talked about Scott Steiner’s time in TNA and what he said to Dixie Carter about Hulk Hogan that may have led to Scott’s departure from the company.
I was on the outs. Dixie sent me home. He (Scott Steiner) went and had the conversation with Dixie, looked her in the face, and said, ‘Do you think you made the right decision sending Jeff home?’ It was straight up, no string attached, no frills, no political b.s. He said, ‘Dixie, we’re running a business here. Do you think you made the right decision?’ Obviously, I wasn’t there, but Scott said she couldn’t get away from him quick enough. It got uncomfortable and Scott didn’t want to be uncomfortable. He looked Dixie in the eye and said, ‘Hulk Hogan will run you out of business. He will put you out of business.’ I had been sent home. The Main Event Mafia was disbanded. Hulk had come in, promised her the moon, got rid of the six-sided ring, and this and that. So it was clearly Dixie and Hulk leading the charge. Scott Steiner went up to her and said, ‘Do you think you made the right decision? We’re making money and the ratings are good.’ He understood how fragile the dynamic could be. He didn’t want to come off screaming or hollering. He said it low key.

Scott would then leave the company shortly after before returning to IMPACT in 2020, but a backstage incident happened where Scott collapsed during a set of tapings. Scott was then inducted into the WWE hall of fame this year alongside his brother Rick Steiner. Do you think Scott was right in calling out Dixie for bringing in Hulk? Hindsight is 20/20.
