Claudio Castagnoli States He Speaks Wrestling As His Sixth Language
If you didn’t know, Claudio speaks five (now six) different languages.
The former WWE United States Champion is fluent in English, French, German, Swiss and Italian.
In an interview with “Sports Illustrated”, Castagnoli stated that he considers wrestling to be the sixth language that he speaks.
“People say I speak five languages, but that’s not true. I speak six. What I do in the ring is a universal language. No matter what country it’s broadcast in, people can understand it. You don’t need subtitles. This is real, it’s me.”
“That’s the important part. With the amount of content out there now, if something is not authentic, then it doesn’t feel right.”

Castagnoli debuted in AEW at Forbidden Door last month, replacing Bryan Danielson in a match with Zack Sabre Jr at the event. Since then, Claudio has scored the deciding fall in Blood and Guts with a win over Jake Hager in singles competition on this week’s edition of Dynamite.
