Vince McMahon Under “No Real Pressure” To Leave The WWE

It appears Vince McMahon has no one pressuring him to step away from the WWE.

Amid the allegations of hush money payouts over the last month or so, it would be to no ones surprise if there was pressure within the WWE for Vince McMahon to step back from his roles within the WWE on a permanent basis. While the board of directors is investigating McMahon, he has temporarily stepped away from his responsibilities as CEO and Chairman of the company, with his daughter Stephanie taking the reigns in the interim.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon isn’t under any actual pressure to leave the WWE.

“From the outside, you would read the article and think they have no choice but to make a change, but there is no indication at all that will happen. And there doesn’t appear to be any real pressure for it to happen.”

McMahon remains in control of creative in the company despite his stepping back from his roles as CEO and chairman. Time will tell if the pressure will be on as the investigation ruling gets closer.
