AEW sets a precedent that they’re a alternative to WWE. While WWE does beat them in the ratings most weeks, AEW puts out a ‘edgier’ product that’s made it’s mark in the pro-wrestling world to give a variety to wrestling fans aside the WWE product. But, is AEW a viable competitor to WWE? While speaking on a recent episode of his Strictly Business podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff laughed at the idea that AEW is in any way a legitimate competitor to WWE.
It’s not like WWE is losing its audience to AEW. AEW is flatter than p**s on a plate in terms of television ratings… It is what it is and WWE is not losing market share to AEW so why would they react to something that’s not affecting them?

Will Eric ever think AEW can compete with WWE? That remains to be seen. But, we do know Eric knows a thing or two about losing to WWE, so he’d be the expert here.
