It looks like a prominent Hall of Famer is still under contract with WWE despite not appearing for the company in quite some time.
Goldberg has had a rocky return to the ring since he returned to the WWE a few years back. Challenging Brock Lesnar initially, since then Goldberg has wrestled Kevin Owens, Bray Wyatt and Bobby Lashley among others. His appearances have been met with negative opinions from fans more often than not.
While speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Goldberg clarified his contract status with WWE. Goldberg stated that while he has completed his obligation for the number of matches he signed on for, he is still signed to WWE.
“I’m still waiting for that one [call] to happen one of these days. But I suppose you never retire in the wrestling world until you’re dead, so who knows. Hey, I may never get the call, you never know. But you bet your ass I’ll be ready.”

Time will tell if Goldberg will once again step foot in a WWE ring but for now he remains contracted to the promotion.
