CM Punk stated his injury is still healing during San Diego Comic Con, and it appears it may be healing slower than fans have hoped.
AEW sent a contingent of stars to San Diego Comic Con earlier this week with Jade Cargill, CM Punk, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin and Britt Baker make several appearances at the convention.
PWInsider now reports that during the convention, it was obvious how much pain Punk was in while waiting between appearences.
One source who who working backstage at SDCC said they crossed paths with AEW talents across the last several days multiple times and it was obvious how much pain Punk was in while moving around and that they saw him icing his foot multiple times in backstage areas while sitting in between appearances.

Time will tell how much longer he will be out with the injury, but Punk mentioned during the con that his foot was “shattered” prior to surgery.
