Fallout and Ramifications
Chris Ridgeway, Kanji and Sunshine Machine all successfully retained their Championships,
Kanji may have come away with the victory in her Championship match but was assaulted by her opponent following the match, leading to PROGRESS Management having to set another match at their Sheffield Copperhead show, as part of their Deadly Viper Tour on the 13th of August.
Young Nick Wayne picked up a victory in his first match in the UK and Europe defeating one of the best Jr Heavyweights in the UK, Robbie X, who replaced the Swerve Strickland who was unfortunately unable to make the show due travel disruptions.
With Spike Trivet winning the Thunderbastard match he now becomes the new No. 1 Contender to Chris Ridgeway’s PROGRESS World Title, the two will eventually face off on a future unspecified date.
Speaking of Spike, he was not to happy with the fact that Tom Dawkins was not able to make the show and made a point to revel in Dawkins’ misery calling the former Cara Noir unprofessional. Dawkins scheduled opponent LK Mezinger would end up facing Big Guns Joe with the Latter picking up the victory bringing LK Mezinger’s current loosing streak to double figures.
Lana Austin finally got one over Raven Creed following a number failed attempts over the past few shows.
