WWE Confirm In 8-K SEC Filing That Vince McMahon Used WWE Money To Pay Off Sexual Misconduct Cases

Things continue to look worse for the former owner of WWE.

In the last few months, Vince McMahon has been under tremendous scrutiny from fans and peers in the industry since it was announced that McMahon was under investigation by the WWE board of directors regarding hush money payments to former talent and staff regarding sexual misconduct.

Now, in WWE’s 8-K filing they have noted that McMahon’s hush money expenses have been now noted and will be paid by Vince personally, seemingly confirming that McMahon used company money to pay off his hush money cases.

The Company has made a preliminary determination that certain payments that Vince McMahon agreed to make during the period from 2006 through 2022 (including amounts paid and payable in the future), and that were not recorded in the WWE consolidated financial statements, should have been recorded as expenses in the quarters in which those agreements were made.

As of the date hereof, the Company has identified Unrecorded Expenses totaling approximately $14.6 million. All payments underlying the Unrecorded Expenses were or will be paid by Vince McMahon personally.”

Time will tell when Vince will pay back the money, but for now WWE are going through the appropriate channels regarding the reporting of the issue.
