It seems Riddle is legitimately injured and is off the SummerSlam card this weekend.
This week on RAW, the show closed with Riddle having his head stomped at an awkward angle on steel steps via the boot of Seth Rollins. It appears this was done to write Riddle off TV for a while, whether that to be to recover from a legitimate injury or another reason.
During WWE’s The Bump today, it was announced that Riddle had suffered a Stinger injury and would not be able to compete at SummerSlam this weekend.
…..that resulted in a brachial plexus injury (a stinger). Riddle is medically disqualified until full strength returns.Due to this injury, Riddle vs. Rollins at Summerslam Has Been Postponed
