Vince McMahon’s retirement has shocked some of the biggest names in the industry.
Last Friday prior to SmackDown, it was announced by McMahon that he would be retiring and stepping away from running WWE permanently. In the wake of this announcement, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan have both been appointed co-CEO’s with Triple H taking over creative.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts stated that he thought someone might have just tried to kill Vince McMahon before he retired.
“I didn’t know if he’d retire or if somebody would kill him first. I really didn’t because he’s pissed off a lot of friggin’ people, man. And sometimes money can get you out of s**t. But all it takes is one loose nut to put a shell in your a** that stops everything.

Of course, McMahon is no stranger to fans not liking him. For a long time many fans have not been his biggest fan. Roberts also leans into the fact that bad guys in wrestling used to be in major danger as fans didn’t know the scripted nature of the sport as much as they do in 2022.
