Shawn Michaels Hopes NXT And WWE’s Main Roster Shows Can Work In Synergy With One Another

Triple H and Shawn Michaels both look to improve the WWE content they are in charge of.

Since Vince McMahon retired from his duties within WWE, much of that workload has fallen on Triple H. Triple H has taken over the reins where it applies to the main roster creatively, while Shawn Michaels remains an influential part of the NXT 2.0 system.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Shawn Michaels commented on Triple H’s new position in WWE saying that they are now hoping they will be able to provide a “one-two punch” packed with NXT and main roster synergy.

“We hope now that we can put together a really powerful one-two punch between NXT and the main roster that’s going to drive WWE to even greater heights,” Michaels says. “He wants to stick to the mission statement, which is to be the greatest sports entertainment company on the face of the earth. I’m going to do everything here to help, and he’ll have the entire support of NXT. We’re all excited for the future.”

Time will tell if Shawn Michaels’ hopes will be realised but for now, Triple H is looking likely to be using the stars that NXT groomed for the top of the pro wrestling world.
