Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Robbie Lawler Agreed to for UFC 282 on Dec. 10th
UFC 282 is slowly getting a stacked card and with this recent announcement, it looks to be a ruthless showdown.
The first to break the news was ESPN’s Brett Okamoto who says that Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Robbie Lawler has been agreed to for December 10th at UFC 282 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
Lawler’s last fight ended in a 2nd round defeat from Bryan Barberena at UFC 276, prior to that he had defeated Nick Diaz in a rematch from their first showdown in 2004.
Ponzinibbio is on a 2-fight losing streak vs. Geoff Neal and recently Michel Pereira this past May. He will look to achieve a win over Lawler to break that losing skid.
Ponzinibbio was expected to face Robbie Lawler on December 14, 2019, at UFC 245. However, on October 12, 2019, it was revealed that Ponzinibbio had pulled out of the fight due to a staph infection.
UFC 282 is reportedly expected to be headlined by the Light Heavyweight title rematch between Jiri Prochazka vs. Glover Teixeira.
