Jeff Jarrett And WWE Parts Ways
WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has exited his role as Senior Vice President of WWE Live Events, according to a report from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson. The 6x Intercontinental Champion had been brought back to the role in May after being furloughed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
This ends another stint with the promotion for Jarrett. Jarrett’s time in WWE was primarily as a performer in the 1990s, working with the company across multiple tenures from 1992 to 1999. From there, Jarrett became one of the industries top executives with IMPACT Wrestling. Under Jarrett, WWE live events saw an increase in ticket sales. While the house shows have directly seen an increase, the company is touting the success of their premium live events, including a record 90,000 same-day sales for the upcoming WrestleMania 39 extravaganza in Los Angeles.
Jarrett’s last day was reportedly this past Friday, though that hasn’t been verified. Jarrett has yet to publicly comment on his departure. Bodyslam will keep you as up-to-date on the development as possible.
