Luke Rockhold Gives Advice to Young Fighters Coming to the UFC
The former Strikeforce and UFC Middleweight champion had a message for the younger generation of fighters.
At the end of his interview on the MMA Hour. Luke Rockhold was asked if he has any advice to give to those who still have a decade in the fight game.
The former Middleweight champion didn’t hesitate on letting fighters know on what they need and don’t need, this is what he had to say.
“Get a manager that’s not connected to the game. That’s not part of the fucking system. There’s a few managers that work for the UFC so how the fuck are they gonna work for you?”
Rockhold recently announced his retirement, this happened following his loss at UFC 278 to Paulo Costa who Rockhold said is still not better than him.
Rockhold credited his first Middleweight championship win in Strikeforce vs. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza as the fight that made him a man in MMA. They also credited their fight vs. Chris Weidman at UFC 194 which resulted in a win for the UFC Middleweight championship back in 2015.
