Update on Lady Frost Requesting Her Release From IMPACT Wrestling
Lady Frost made her way to IMPACT Wrestling last year at the company’s Knockouts Knockdown event in October, where she wrestled Rachel Ellering. They had a great match, which resulted in Rachel Ellering going to bat for Frost right in front of IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore.
This ultimately led to Frost being brought back for a few more outings with the company, as well as a contract offer. She revealed to Fightful staff after an interview in November of 2021 that she had signed the contract and was officially a member of the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts roster. Frost would then go on to make history in one of the biggest Knockouts matches to date – the first all-female Ultimate X match – which took place at IMPACT’s Hard to Kill PPV in January of 2022.

Unfortunately, Frost couldn’t get good momentum going. She wrestled against Gisele Shaw and then was paired up with her in a tag team for a short period of time, had some great singles and tag matches, and then it was revealed that she’d be missing time for an injury.
On April 20, Frost announced via her Twitter account that she would be out of action for a little bit with a minor surgery set for May.
Her last match prior to that took place at the IMPACT Wrestling Multiverse of Matches show on April 1st. Lady Frost hasn’t been seen in IMPACT Wrestling since then.
Then on June 23rd, Frost took to social media again and mentioned that she’d asked the company for her release. She thanked Gail Kim, Scott D’Amore, and the Knockouts locker room.
Nobody knew whether or not Frost’s requested release had been granted….until PWInsider’s Mike Johnson did a Question and Answer (Q & A) session, and it was brought up.
What happened to Lady Frost in Impact Wrestling?
“We are told the two sides have been in something of a, forgive me for this, cold war since Frost asked for released. The word is the two sides haven’t communicated in months and Frost remains under contract, awaiting a release. Whether she gets one or not remains to be seen, but she is not booked for this weekend’s Texas tapings and has been working independent dates. To do something on a grander scale, she needs a release.”
This has a lot of fans wondering what happened, and where it broke down. She was happy to get the opportunity back in November of 2021, got to make history in January as part of the first ever Knockouts Ultimate X match, took time away for surgery in May, and then requested he release in April – 1 month or so after surgery.
As always, we’ll keep you posted with any updates as we get them.
