We are back with three more things to look out for heading into tonight’s Monday Night Raw on August 29th, 2022. We have a packed show tonight, so let’s look at three things to keep an eye out for.
Legend Killer:
No, no. Randy Orton isn’t back. But, Kurt Angle, WWE Hall Of Famer, will be on RAW tonight. It’s unknown exactly why the former WWE champion will be on the show, but we can all predict he isn’t there for no reason. So, I expect someone to step up and make a name for themselves. We’ve seen many superstars take out legends in the past just to get a boost to their popularity, but who’s man enough to step up to the Olympic Gold Medalist? The first name that pops into my head is Theory. Maybe he’s embarrassed about being laid out by Johnny Gargano last week, so he’s looking to make a statement by laying out Kurt. Or, maybe Ciampa needs something to boost himself out of the shadows of The Miz, so he sets his sights on Kurt to make a name for himself on the RAW brand. We’ll have to see what Kurt’s up to tonight, he better watch his back.
Tag Team Contenders:
It’s been announced earlier today that the Usos and Sami Zayn are coming to RAW tonight, with no reason given. Similar to Angle, we don’t know why. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if new tag team title challengers presented themselves for the Usos. We’ve seen a lot of the Usos on SmackDown and a lot of teams are on SmackDown as well. New Day, Viking Raiders, Garza and Humberto, Maximum Male Models, Hit Row and even Street Profits showing up on SmackDown recently. But, Raw gets no love. Well, how’s their chance. This could be an opportunity for a team to step up and challenge the Usos for the Raw tag titles at the very least, if not both sets of championships. Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali have become a new tag team on the rise, Miz and Ciampa are there, The Mysterios, Judgement Day, maybe even Sami Zayn turns on the Usos and joins RAW’s Kevin Owens as a team to take down the Usos. There’s a lot of possibilities on RAW, someone just has to make a move. Tonight could be their moment.
Women’s Tag Team Title Rumors:
Yeah, I’ll bite. Is tonight the night? Dakota Kai and IYO Sky battle Raquel and Aliyah in the finals of the tag team tournament to crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions. But, it seems all anyone is talking about is the possibility of Naomi and Sasha Banks returning after the match to challenge for what they technically never lost. Will it happen? I can’t say yes for certain, but they’re currently the talk of the town. We’ve seen many returns under Triple H’s guidance since taking over creative from Vince McMahon. Hit Row, Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai, even Johnny Gargano just last week on RAW. Could we see Sasha and Naomi finally return back to the ring under Triple H’s control? Maybe so, and maybe tonight is the perfect night to strike with new champions being crowned. You’ll have to tune into Monday Night RAW on USA at 8/7c to find out!
