What a night for the hometown boy, Daniel Garcia.
Wheeler YUTA defended his ROH Pure Championship against Daniel Garcia in the main event of AEW Dynamite. This show took place in Buffalo, New York, the hometown of Daniel Garcia. The challenger also had friend and Buffalo native rapper, Westside Gunn rap him out to the ring. Everything looked to be going Garcia’s way heading into the match and he kept that momentum up. After a hellacious Championship match, Daniel Garcia picked up the submission victory to become the new ROH Pure Champion. Following the match, Garcia shook YUTA’s hand, Bryan Danielson made his way out to the ring and took the title from Garcia before wrapping it around his waist and shaking Garcia’s hand as well. Chris Jericho was fuming on the ramp as Daniel Garcia celebrated with the rival Blackpool Combat Club in a sea of confetti.
