Why Tommaso Ciampa Changed His Mind On Main Roster WWE Run Revealed
Tommaso Ciampa reveals what changed his mind on a WWE main roster run.
A common piece of the NXT puzzle, Tommaso Ciampa believed he would never move up to the main roster full time just a few short months ago.
Now, Ciampa has once again spoke about that topic and more in an interview with Fightful Select.
Ciampa told us that for a long time he felt as if his career was ending soon, and now he doesn’t feel that way with his neck. Instead, he now feels like he just finished the first half of his career, because he’s learned to wrestle with it and not be in pain. He said a lot of things changed, from the world, his life and maturity that made him open to going to Raw/Smackdown. With his standout interview on Raw Talk, Ciampa said there you have a lot more freedom, and they told him to say what he wanted as long as he made the points. Miz also encouraged him to improvise along the way too. He spoke about the Cruiserweight Classic and said that he originally wasn’t on the list. However, he told William Regal he wanted to be, and just wanted to face Johnny Gargano. Regal encouraged him to pitch it to Triple H, who said he’d consider it, and it ended up happening.

Ciampa has aligned with The Miz on Monday Night RAW and recently challenged for the United States Championship. He also got his name back on this week’s RAW.
