Triple H Credits Clash At The Castle As WWE’s Largest European Gate Ever
WWE’s PPV return to the UK after several decades away was a resounding success.
The card, which went down earlier this month in Cardiff, Wales, was an incredible event from start to finish. The premium live event was headlined by Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns.
Triple H credits the success of the event on Twitter. According to the graphic shared, Clash At The Castle recorded the largest gate in European history. Also, the event was the highest viewed international PLE/PPV in company history. Furthermore, the event had the most merchandise sales of any non-WrestleMania WWE event ever.
Time will tell if WWE will look to return to the UK for another premium live event after the success of Clash At The Castle.
