WWE Reportedly Want Two World Champions Heading Into WrestleMania, Also Don’t Want Roman Reigns To Lose Before Then
WWE look like they will have to make an important decision creatively.
Since WrestleMania 38, the WWE and Universal Championships have been unified as one championship. Since then, Reigns has defended against Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre and there does not look to be any end in sight for Reigns’ title reign.
However, it looks like WWE are facing a conundrum regarding Reigns’ run as champion. WrestleVotes reports that WWE would like to have two separate world champions for WrestleMania 39. The issue is, they do not want Reigns losing at all before that point. WrestleVotes also remarked Triple H is open to all creative ideas regarding this issue.
As mentioned previously, Roman retained both titles after defeating Drew McIntyre in Cardiff, Wales at WWE Clash At The Castle. Time will tell what WWE will do to separate the world titles and if they will find a way to do it without Roman suffering a loss.
