It was the best of times, it was the worst of times for one Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
It’s the best of times because the AEW star is one of the hottest acts in the company, returning at All Out, “winning” the Casino Ladder Match Chip that entitles him to a championship opportunity, and proving that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making you think he didn’t exist.
But that’s not all. MJF also recently announced that he was engaged to be married to his longtime girlfriend, artist Naomi Rosenblum.
The news came via Rosenblum’s Instagram account, with a couple photos of the happy (ish) couple.
“I said yes :),” she wrote. “And yes, I did force him to smile for pics (after he told me I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

And speaking of Max, knowing that at least 3 women would be disappointed by the news, he took to his own social media to ease their minds and hearts.
“Ladies panicking on my TL, don’t worry,” he wrote on his Twitter page. “Just cuz there’s a goalie doesn’t mean you can’t score. Strive for greatness!”
Isn’t adultery hilarious??
MJF better hope that nobody else “scores” with him, because if he and Naomi break up, he’s gonna lose his parents too.
At least, that’s according to MJF’s mom, who shared a New York Post article on her own Twitter page, along with a message that just makes your heart feel all sorts of fuzzy.
“It’s about fu#n time you are in the news for doing something decent!” Nina Friedman wrote. “If you ever break up…we are staying with Naomi.”
Her reaction makes sense, as MJF’s parents have long been ashamed of the actions of their son. Famously, his mom and dad appeared on an episode of AEW Dynamite with a sign that said ‘We’re MJF’s parents and we think he SUCKS too!”
In response, MJF replied in the only way he knew how.
“Here’s the thing about my mom,” he told broadcaster Josh Shernoff. “She’s a dumb, disgusting sl*t and everything she says is pretty much complete horse sh*t. My father is an old, irrelevant piece of sh*t, and that’s me putting it gently.”
